About the Journal 

The International Journal of Biological and Biomedical Research (IJBBR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original scholarly work in biological sciences, biomedical sciences, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, microbiology, immunology, biotechnology, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and related interdisciplinary biological and biomedical disciplines.

The journal provides a platform for researchers, academicians, scientists, clinicians, laboratory professionals, and industry experts to disseminate original research, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, case-based biomedical studies, experimental investigations, and evidence-based analyses that contribute to biological knowledge, biomedical innovation, and life science research.

The International Journal of Biological and Biomedical Research (IJBBR) is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are made freely and immediately available online to readers worldwide without subscription charges, registration requirements, or access restrictions.

Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and share the full text of published articles, subject to the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license.

The journal supports the principles of open access as outlined by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which advocates for the free availability of scholarly research on the public internet. In accordance with these principles, IJBBR ensures that published research is accessible to researchers, academicians, clinicians, students, institutions, policymakers, and the scientific community without financial barriers.

There is no embargo period. All articles are available in full text immediately upon publication.

Review Process and Publication Ethics 

IJBBR follows the principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing publication ethics, editorial integrity, complaints, appeals, corrections, retractions, and suspected research misconduct.

1. Peer Review: Each manuscript that passes initial editorial screening is evaluated through a double-anonymous peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. The final editorial decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned handling editor.
2. Plagiarism and Similarity Screening: All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or an equivalent similarity-checking tool. Similarity reports are assessed by the editorial team in context. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, falsified information, manipulated citations, or other forms of research misconduct may be rejected or withdrawn in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
3. Transparency & Responsibility: Mandatory disclosure of conflicts of interest; clear editorial policies and Article Processing Charges (APCs).

IJBBR is committed to maximizing the visibility and academic impact of published research. The journal is currently indexed and tracked in:

1. Google Scholar: Published articles may be discoverable through Google Scholar, subject to Google Scholar's indexing process and technical requirements.
2. Crossref DOI Registration: Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are registered through Crossref for articles to which a DOI is assigned, in accordance with the journal's DOI policy.
3. ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources): The journal is listed in ROAD, a directory managed by the ISSN International Centre for open-access scholarly resources.

The journal will update this page whenever it is accepted for inclusion in additional indexing and abstracting services.

The International Journal of Biological and Biomedical Research (IJBBR) is a fully open-access journal. There is no submission fee and no peer-review fee.

An Article Processing Charge (APC) is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

Publication Fee: USD 35 / INR 2,000 per accepted article.

The standard APC covers up to five authors. Additional charges may apply for manuscripts with more than five authors, as detailed in the Author Fees (APC) Policy.

The APC supports editorial handling, double-anonymous peer review, similarity screening, typesetting, online publication, digital archiving, and publication-related administrative services.
