This policy explains when the Article Processing Charge (APC) paid to the International Journal of Biological and Biomedical Research (IJBBR) can be refunded. The APC is requested only after a manuscript has been accepted following peer review. No payment is ever needed to submit a manuscript or to have it reviewed.

1. Withdrawal before payment
Authors may withdraw a manuscript at any stage before paying the APC, at no cost.

2. Withdrawal after payment, before publication
If the authors cancel publication within 5 days of payment, the APC is refunded after deducting 30% plus transaction charges. No refund is made for cancellations later than 5 days after payment.

3. After publication
No refund is made once an article has been published. A published article can be withdrawn only through a formal retraction, as set out in the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

4. Duplicate or mistaken payments
Duplicate payments, and payments made in error, are refunded in full.

5. How refunds are made
Refunds are processed within 7 business days of approval, using the payment details provided by the author. Requests should be sent to [email protected] with the manuscript ID and proof of payment.

Refund decisions are made by the publisher's office and have no effect on any editorial decision.
