A Comprehensive Review on Ethanomedical, Pharmacological and Phytochemical Properties of Genus Cissus: A therapeutic Genus
Abstract
Plants are great source of medication in herbal way. These extracts are used in treatment of several diseases. The family vitaceae consist of several species having many properties to cure many illnesses and disorders to mankind. This review article reveales about some species of cissus with different genus, about there medicinal and pharmacological uses and there utilization in various scientific fields. Due to presence of various bioactive compound such as tannin, alkaloid, flavonoids and many more it is useful as good herbal therapeutic sources in drug industry. These plants posses efficacy againt antidiabetic, antiobesity, antiulcer, antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, antiglucocoid, antimicrobial, antinflammatory activity and are used as bone setter in fractures and cures female health as it used to regulates mesturation also. Although review shows properties and uses of various cissus species as a useful therapeutic and pharmacological herbious plant.
